Hijab - The Nature Of Basyariyyah.
This nature of Basyariyyah does not mean the natural habits
that exist in humans such as the desire to eat, drink, sleep, have sex, and so
on. What is meant by the nature of Basyariyyah here is the reprehensible
qualities (nature of Madzmumah) that nest in the human heart such as arrogance
(Takabbur), Ujub (proud of one's own advantages and privileges), envy (Hasad),
showing off (arrogance ), greedy or greedy and so on. This is because,
according to Sufism scholars, the human spirit already knows the nature of
God's divinity by nature (instinct) which God made in every human being. This
fact is clearly visible in the words of Allahﷻ :
فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلِدِينِ حَنِيفً فِْرَةَ اللَِّّ الَّتِي فَتَرَ
النَّاسَ عَلَيهَا لَتَبِيلَ لَخْلِ اللَِّّ ؛ِلكَ الدِينُ الْقِيّمُ وَلَكِنَّ اَكْتَرَ
الَنَّاِ
The meaning: So put your face (with all your soul and body)
to the religion (Islam/ monotheism) in a clean state (from polytheism), (it is)
the nature of God which God made man be on this nature, there is no change
for God's creation, that is the religion which is straight, but most people do not
know.
However, the existence of these reprehensible traits,
especially the self-conceit (Ananiyyah) from which various other reprehensible
traits arise, has defiled the purity of the monotheistic and religious nature
of the human being. It has veiled the human heart until its recognition of the
divine realities of its God began to fade and was overshadowed by Khafi
(hidden) shirk.
