Inner Peace in Islam 6
Understand who Allah is, and how great He is. One who understands the greatness of Allah will find peace knowing that everything else is petty and small. Anyhow following a nice lines of composition in understanding Allah Rabbul Jalalluh.. by Nadia.
Sometimes, our minds get messy and we think too much about everything. With so much going on, we forget our true purpose in this world- to worship Allah. People may treat us badly, disrespect us, or belittle us, but we should see beyond all of this. Life was not meant to be smooth sailing. I now understand why being good is one of the hardest things to do. When saying what we want in a moment of anger is easy to do, we instead choose to do what Allah wants us to do- to be good. In this particular ayah, Allah reminds us that he is All-hearing and All-knowing, and when we're going through tests we must remember that there will come a day when we are free of the dunya, living in bliss in Jannah, In'sha'Allah. But only if we strive for it, you never get anything if you don't work for it.
ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا۟ وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ ٥٩
— M. Pickthall
(Surah Al Ankabut: Ayat 59)
Abu Darda, Allah be pleased with him, said “Learn silence just as you learn speech. Silence is a dear wisdom. Be more keen to listen than you are to speak, and do not speak about a matter that is of no concern to you. Laugh not but it be due to amazement, and walk not but with a purpose.”
