Inner Peace in Islam 10

  • Inner Peace in Islam.

  • Be Content with Allah’s Decree.

One of the best roads to tranquillity is being content with Allah.

It is in understanding that no matter what happens to us, Allah’s plan is best. When we are content with Allah’s decree, we will work hard, we will do our best but be content with whatever result comes our way.

Allah’s decree is Divine, and not always understandable to us in the here and now. Only when we look back do we understand how Allah’s plan was perfect. Allah’s plan for us is the best for us, and knowing that makes life incredibly peaceful.

May Allah make us people who are tranquil in life, and tranquil in death. May Allah make us among those who hear this call:

O tranquil soul, return to your Lord, pleased and pleasing to Him. Enter My Garden, Enter My Paradise.

Contentment is an act of worship

The Prophet Muhammad said, "He has tasted the sweetness of faith who is content with Allah as his Lord, Islam as his religion, and Muhammad as his Prophet".

Contentment is a source of tranquillity

Ibn Taymiyyah said that contentment is the greatest door to Allah and the source of tranquillity for the worshiper.

Tawakkul is a means to contentment

Tawakkul is the act of relying on Allah, which is a means to Allah's pleasure and reward. It inspires contentment with divine decree and confidence in all situations.

    The Quran promises tranquillity

The Quran says, “It is He Who has sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers”.

Sakeena is the feeling of inner peace

In Islam, the feeling of inner peace and tranquillity is known as Sakeena. It is described as a heavenly gift that is most experienced during Ramadan.
