Inner Peace from Tranquil Mind - [1] Dhikr - Remembrance of Allah

In the ceaseless rhythm of our daily lives, amidst the cacophony of responsibilities and challenges, the pursuit of inner peace becomes a poignant yearning. As Muslims, blessed with the profound teachings of the Quran and the exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), we are bestowed with a roadmap that not only guides our external actions but also nourishes the serenity within. In this exploration, we delve into the Quran and the Hadith verses, unraveling the intricate tapestry of practices that lead to a tranquil mind.

1. Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah):

In the sacred verses of the Quran, we find solace in the command to remember Allah;

Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah, hearts are assured."

[Surah Ar Raad :Ayat 28]

This profound reminder unveils the transformative power of Dhikr, illustrating that the consistent remembrance of Allah is a source of comfort for the heart' of believers. In the simplicity of uttering phrases like "SubhanAllah" (Glory be to Allah) and "Alhamdulillah" (All praise is due to Allah), we find a spiritual balm that soothes the throbbing echoes of our minds.

A hadith in Arba’una hadith reads:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Purity is half of iman (faith). ‘Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah)’ fills the scales, and ‘subhan-Allah (how far is Allah from every imperfection) and ‘Al-hamdulillah (praise be to Allah)’ fill that which is between heaven and earth. And the salah (prayer) is a light, and charity is a proof, and patience is illumination, and the Qur’an is a proof either for you or against you. Every person starts his day as a vendor of his soul, either freeing it or causing its ruin.”
